Jim Samuel, Capitol Integrity Partners

Jim Samuel, OMI senior fellow, founded Capitol Integrity Group, Ltd. in 2005 as a strategic policy development and government affairs consultancy whose clients include public and private corporations, government agencies, institutions of higher education, business associations and non-profit entities. He provides clients with strategic guidance, cultivated resources, and a comprehensive approach focused on issue management, public perception and political forces. He concurrently serves as the executive director of the Ohio Water Partnership.

His unique insight and knowledge of complex governmental and business structures resulted from serving in executive management positions at five cabinet-level agencies and in the Ohio Governor’s Office over two gubernatorial administrations. He has served as a key policy strategist, chief spokesman, principal legislative agent and crisis coordinator.

Samuel is a fellow of Cleveland State University’s Levin College of Urban Affairs Energy Policy Center and a fellow of the Ohio Manufacturing Institute at The Ohio State University. He served as a co-author of Driving Ohio’s Prosperity, a strategy document for Ohio’s automotive and advanced manufacturing sector. He was an advisor on An Analysis of The Economic Potential for Shale Formations in Ohio and was a contributing writer for Crain's Cleveland Business energy report. He is currently serving his second term on the Ohio Wildlife Council having been appointed by two governors and is also a member of the Board of Trustees for The Nature Conservancy - Ohio. 

Jim and his wife Heidi are both alumni of The Ohio State University. They have two adult children.
